Davery Ezell Joseph, better known as Blakk Gawd is the definition of an independent artist. Born in San Diego, California and raised in Slidell, Louisiana Blakk has cultivated a sound in rap that is made just for him. Since the age of fourteen Blakk has been fascinated with hip hop culture. Inspired by rappers like Wale, Jcole, and Nipsey Hussle, Blakk Gawd has adopted the metaphorical word play within his rap lyrics. Now settled in Colorado Springs, Colorado Blakk Gawd has been making sure his name is present on the rap scene.
When multiple singles out and two independent albums titled,”Loki” and “Blakk Bianchi” Blakk Gawd has definitely been busy making sure his fans have more than enough music to listen to and learn from. Blakk Gawd’s single “Fressh Fressh” featuring PrettyMF, another local rapper based out of Colorado Springs has gained more 168,000 streams on Spotify alone and 100,000 views on Youtube for the official music video. Now Blakk is back with another banger titled,”Dream”. The concept for this single was to expose the purpose of living your life to fullest. To chase your dreams and be happy doing so regardless of how society may take it.

[Single] Zayy - Dream

Syracuse, New York; Honor Roll Musik’s breakout artist Zayy releases lyrically packed track “Dream”. A New York Native, Daquan Boston a.k.a Zayy began rapping at the young age of 14, at that time he was remixing major artists records and freestyling during lunch hours at school. Zayy recorded his first record during his senior year alongside his friends and later formed a group titled “Thicker Than Water” with two other artists and together they record a mixtape, yet never moved forward. In 2017, Zayy’s music career shifted as he connects with his brother-in-law Cha$ and signed on as the newest addition to Honor Roll Musik. Zayy is actively working on his forthcoming mixtape titled “Lord Knows”, which is set to release in the spring.
